GeneXP Biosciences needed to integrate data from robotic laboratory equipment and laser scanning systems into a unified reporting platform. Raw instrument data was being collected in incompatible formats across multiple devices, requiring manual transcription and reconciliation — a slow, error-prone process that created bottlenecks in their research pipeline.
The Approach
Capnetix designed and implemented a data integration layer that automatically collected output from robotic systems and laser scanners, normalized the data into a consistent format, and generated structured XML reports for downstream analysis. A statistical analysis module was built to process results and flag anomalies automatically, eliminating the manual reconciliation step entirely.
The Result
GeneXP Biosciences achieved fully automated data collection and reporting across all laboratory instruments. Research throughput increased as manual data handling was eliminated, report generation became instantaneous, and statistical analysis that previously required hours of manual work was completed automatically at the end of each run.
